Local flavor is displayed at the wicket door and fence made of log with bark, and the subject is pointed out by “Studying and Farming Garden”, the inscribed board.
“Yingxue Pavilion” at the right side of the garden tells the story of ancient people once reading by the reflected light of snow, the rockery with waterfall at the left side is filled with vine and wild flowers, the waterfall forms brook with natural idyllic taste. There is a pond at the terminal of brook, there are willow forest, flower path and vegetable garden at village beside the pond, there is “Study of rice grains” at the other side of pond, implying moral integrity on the one hand, and modesty as a tiny pearl to shine with dazzling splendor on the other hand.
The garden is appropriately dotted with characteristic plants in the locality of Hunan, so as to recreate the features of Changsha Garden, and the rural scenery of study with a winding path leading to a secluded spot and different view with every step is formed.
